Due Date:
the application will open January 1, 2027
all applications are due April 2, 2027
Scholarship Details:
$250 awarded annually to one student
funds will be paid directly to the student upon verification of enrollment or graduation status
Applications must be submitted through the Scholarship Central application form.
Qualifications:
resident of West Virginia
current high school senior (class of 2027)
accepted to and will enroll in a college, trade, or technical school in fall of 2027
provide proof of acceptance to post education route of choice
this does not have to be a 4 year university! this includes community, technical, trade and any other route that furthers education toward your desired career
has applied to at least 3 scholarships through Scholarship Central
Selection Process:
Applications will be reviewed by a selection committee appointed by Scholarship Central. Each application will be evaluated using a standardized rubric based on the following criteria:
Academic effort and achievement
Essay quality and clarity of goals
Demonstrated commitment to education and future career plans
Completion of all application requirements
All applications will be scored independently by reviewers, and final award decisions will be based on total scores. No applicant will be selected based on personal relationships or non-objective factors.
Counselors may submit recommendations on behalf of students using the Scholarship Central recommendation form.
